What to Bring

Team Managers,
Southern Illinois is forecast to receive close to an inch of rain on Friday before moving out early Saturday morning prior to the Relay beginning. This virtually guarantees that there will be water, maybe significant amounts, flowing in some of the low lying stream crossings on the course. Dress appropriately and bring plenty of dry clothes.

This also guarantees that the shoulders on the sides of the road will be extremely soft. Be VERY CAREFUL when parking. Do not get stuck. Tow trucks are a long ways away and will take forever to get to some parts of the race course because of traffic.

Greetings Godzilla’s,

We leave on Friday, April 15^th 4PM. 

Please drop me a note to confirm you received this, let me know how you are feeling and if you would like any leg changes.

To Do's:

1.      Arrive at Wever's on Friday by 3:45PM, the van will leave at 4pm

We should normally return around 11pm on Saturday around 11pm.

3. Budget for the Friday evening meal.
4. R2R has many very nice souveniers/clothing articles, plus last minute GU/Running food etc. –Bring some cash if you like that kind of stuff.

Stuff to bring and have with you.

Bag 1-Stowed away-Come home clothes (at least clean underwear) and a towel to shower, soap, deodorant and shampoo.
We won't tell anyone if you wear the same clothes home on Saturday as your wore on Friday (except for underwear).

We will receive a clean R2R Finisher Shirt at the finish line.

Bag 2-Bag to keep with you during the race.

ZillaWear

Extra running clothes-Long sleeve/extra shoes/socks -in case.

GU and other legal substances.

Snacks.

Refillable water bottle which you can identify.

Camera

Suntan lotion.

Sandals are nice to air your feet out between your runs and good for the shower afterwards.

Food: We will have a cooler for food and one for ice/drinks. Typically we don't eat much.

Water: We will have the large Gatorade Cooler with ICE and extra water.  All you need is your water bottle and other non-water drinks.

Litter Bag: I'll bring something.

We will also have a water jug for water to clean up with.

Baton: This is a relay race!, carry the baton. (:  

Photographer: We could use an official photographer. Feel free to take pictures of scenery, team members fooling around etc. Bring your cameras. We will have the club video camera.

Manager's Meeting: Who would like to attend this year? It will only last 30 minutes, you meet

Donating shoes-We should have plenty of room.
